A memorial scholarship
In honor of Raymond Kenneth Pierce.
This scholarship honors Raymond Kenneth Pierce (1995-2012).
Ray was a part of Bandy’s 2013 senior class when he passed away in a car accident with his best friend, Jake Ziegler. During the two-week-long search for the boys, both families were greatly supported by the Bandys community.
In honor of Ray’s memory, the Pierce family helps a graduating senior in attending college each year.

Our Core Vales
The values we look for in a scholar.
Strength
We believe that strength is not just about physical ability, but also about resilience in the face of adversity. We seek to support students who demonstrate the strength of character, determination, and perseverance in pursuing their academic and personal goals.
Leadership
We recognize that leadership takes many forms, from leading a team to taking initiative on individual projects. Our scholarship program seeks to foster leadership skills in students by supporting their academic pursuits and providing opportunities for community engagement and mentorship.
Activism
We believe that students have a powerful role to play in shaping our society and advocating for positive change. Our scholarship program aims to support students who are passionate about social justice and activism, and who are committed to using their education to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.

2024 Scholarship Recipient
Kevin Rodriguez
I want to say thank you for choosing me as this year’s Ray Pierce Scholarship recipient. As the money does great help with paying tuition for my education, it means a lot to me for being able to represent the Ray Pierce Scholarship.
I hope that in the future I when I complete my education and/or have my own business that I will be able to pay this opportunity forward to someone else just like me beginning to start their journey.
